Since the time I turned my passion into my work, it is giving me immense satisfaction. When on one hand, mouthwatering food from all over the world is satisfying my taste buds; on the other, my wanderlust is getting satiated too. So, to keep my heart singing and my tummy happy, I recently visited the heaven of food lovers, South Florida.
Prior to my last trip to Florida, I was going through my Instagram feed. Amidst all the photos of food and traveling, I realized that I don’t have a few really good photos of seafood platter and the glorious view of some beaches. So, I decided to pack my bags and set out for a trip to Florida, the amazing state with the stunning vista of the sea. During the cab ride from the airport to the hotel, I kept browsing the website of charitydine.com from my tab. This website is my go-to place, where I can see the restaurants available in the area and the discounts for dining there. So, I zeroed on three places where I would be going for a visit during my stay. Little did I know, my stay in South Florida was going to be the best trip of my life! Wondering, why I am saying this? 50 Ocean
I started my eating spree with a brunch at 50 Ocean. I got to know from the internet that this place is quite a famous eatery in Delray Beach. What I didn’t know was this restaurant is one of the best places, where you can have some amazing seafood of your lifetime. Since I arrived that morning, I was famished and was looking for a great place where I can gorge on some food and sip some cool and crisp wine. So, when I reached 50 Ocean, I immediately ordered some delicious preparations like Whole Main Lobster, Chef’s Supper and Pan Seared Snapper. As it was a late brunch on a busy weekday, I was lucky to be there during happy hours that start at 4 pm. The delicious hand crafted cocktails and the elaborate platter of seafood was perfect to keep me busy while hazing at the ethereal view of Atlantic Ocean from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant was great too. A perfect place for elegant dining, if you are thinking of dropping by with your friends, I am sure you will be immensely satisfied. And as I opted for restaurant discounts, I got a 50% off on dining here too.
JB’s on the Beach
The next day, or rather evening, I was strolling in Deerfield Beach while searching for another famous eatery, JB’s on the Beach. The exquisite menu, cheerful ambiance and a stunning view of the ocean, all of these make this restaurant a hot spot for all the casual diners in the area. While dining there, I got to know that this place is also a preferred one for tourists. Delicious dishes like NY Strip, Filet Mignon, Atlantic Sea Scallops, Mahi Mahi, Sesame Seared Tuna Salad, Pecan Crusted Trout, Half Rack Grilled BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Caribbean Chicken, North Atlantic Snow Crab Legs, Macadamia Encrusted Tilapia and Cappellini di Mare are served there. The ambiance becomes great with the live performance of a local band or artist every day. If you are thinking that dining here has burned a big hole in my pocket then, you are wrong. Waterway Café
I concluded my 4 days Florida trip with a grand dinner at Waterway Café, the gem tucked in Palm Beach Gardens. Though the setting is extremely romantic and perfectly suitable for a date, yet, it is a great place to enjoy some solitude too. This eatery is accessible by boat and car both. Founded in 1986, this place is famous for upbeat atmosphere, friendly service and of course, delicious food. Dig in the platter of Grilled Top Sirloin Steak, Mustard Glazed Salmon, Filet Mignon, NY Strip, Coconut Almond Grouper, Florida Lobster Tail, Macadamia Snapper and Sesame Tuna, and enjoy the best time ever in Florida. I particularly liked the crowd here, as interaction with them gave me a rare glimpse of Floridian culture and essence. And again, the meal became affordable in this elegant restaurant with restaurant deals that I opted for.
